Set Decoration. Alejandro’s Film & TV origins.
I take immense pleasure in set decoration and production design in the Film and TV industry. My experience spans many positions within the Art/Set Dec department, budget sizes and regions, from small independent to large-scale productions in Cuba and Canada.
My passion for storytelling is the driving force behind my career. I hold an HBA (Honorous Bachelor in Arts) in Stage Design and Theatre studies, complemented by eight years of experience in theatre and 14 years in TV and Film. My early studies in art and work as a conservator of historical artifacts have ingrained in me a deep appreciation for our human history and the infinite stories that objects and places carry with them.
As a Set Decorator, I constantly adapt to ever-changing project requirements and deliver high-quality results. From script and discussions with project creators, I create psychological profiles of the characters. These profiles, hierarchies and relations allow me to effectively design or decorate sets that are aesthetically pleasing and naturally flow throughout the story.
I consistently remain on budget and deliver without compromising the project’s quality and the safety of my crew to achieve it.
